Conil de la Frontera
Conil lives nowadays mainly by national and international tourism, even if the other major source of income, fishing, has lost hardly any significance. The town owes its appeal especially to the urban structure with small, winding streets and “Plazas” escalate in the city centre, as well as its white sandy beaches and picturesque bays in the coastal area. In the old town there are numerous shops, bars and restaurants which bear witness to the vitality of Andalusian mentality.
In the summer months the “population” of 22,000 inhabitants grows to over 80,000 due to the influx of tourists. However, the streets and beaches are not overcrowded. Calm returns then gradually with the end of the high season from mid-September and the normal everyday life continues. In general May/June and September/October are the perfect months, to make holidays in Conil: mild climate with daytime temperatures around 30 ° C, sunny weather and almost empty beaches. Ideal for relax and activities.
