Jerez de la Frontera near the Andalusian Costa de la Luz belongs to the well-known wine route (“La Ruta del Vino”) of Andalusia, as do the cities of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, El Puerto de Santa María and Chiclana.

The city of Jerez is also famous for the seat of the Royal Equestrian School and for hosting the renowned Flamenco Festival.

As in many other cities in Andalusia, the influence of Moorish rule in the Middle Ages cannot be overlooked and still shapes the cityscape today.

In addition to visiting a renowned sherry bodega in Jerez, you will learn more about the history, culture and traditions of two important Andalusian cities on this tour.

Our day trip bodega visit Jerez and sightseeing in Cádiz first leads us to the center of the famous city of Andalusian sherry wine. After arrival there is a short break with a simple and typical Andalusian breakfast. Subsequently we take a short guided tour through the old town of Jerez along the most important monuments and structures with a brief insight into the history of the city. Then the tour begins through the ancient-looking, but modern facility of the bodega. In addition to the cultivation, production and storage of the various types of wine, we learn a lot about the history of the producer and the connection with the centuries-old Andalusian wine route on this entertaining tour. The bodega visit ends with a wine tasting in the in-house restaurant.

After our stay in Jerez de la Frontera, we lead to the oldest city in Spain located on the Atlantic coast: Cádiz. There we first go on a quick general view sightseeing tour on our van. Before continuing with a walking tour of the old town and a visit to the imposing cathedral, there is lunch in a typical Gaditan restaurant that is known as a famous flamenco venue, right on the beach. Subsequently it goes to the center of the city. Here we learn more about the impressive history and the most important buildings.

Before driving back to your holiday resort, you can enjoy some free time to discover the city on your own or to spend a while on the beach.
