Pure Adventure in the open wilderness: Join <\/span>our <\/span>hiking tour Caminito del Rey (the King’s Pathway) <\/span><\/span>in <\/span><\/span>the <\/span>Sierra <\/span>de\u00a0<\/span>M\u00e1laga.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hiking along the<\/span> cliffs in the canyon between Ardales<\/em> and \u00c1lora<\/em> and enjoying the fantastic views over the lake of<\/span> Guadalhorce<\/em> and the surrounding valleys at the foothills of the Sierra<\/em><\/span> de<\/span> las Nieves,<\/span><\/em> makes this trip<\/span> a unique experience.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Caminito del Rey<\/em>, the so-called King’s Pathway, is an adventure hiking route<\/a> with trails and ferratas through an up to 300m deep canyon between Ardales<\/em> and El Chorro<\/em> in the northern part of the province of M\u00e1laga, at the foothills of the Sierra de las Nieves<\/em>. Its slopes along the drop-offs are located at an altitude of about 100 meters and offer a magnificent view over the surrounding nature.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our adventure day trip starts early in the morning with the departure off the pick up location for our day trip. You can find these starting point below, under the heading “Pick up locations”. After an approximately 2-hour drive, we arrive at the starting point of the hike tour at Ardales<\/em> right at the entrance of the King’s Pathway.<\/p>\n

From here we continue walking. After about 15 minutes we have to master the first v\u00eda ferratas and bridges. Meanwhile, we enjoy the unique view into the depths of the canyon and the surrounding countryside. After having reached the end of the first stage, the hike continious over a path through the woodlands of the area, before we get to the second v\u00eda ferrata track in the rocky and winding mountains. The walk over the Caminito track takes 2 to 3 hours<\/span>, depending on our pace.<\/span><\/p>\n

Having reached the end of the adventure hike, we drive back <\/span>to Ardales<\/em> by shuttle bus. Once there, we will recover by a typical Andalusian lunch.
