Spectecular landscapes and impressive historical buildings await you in the moorish stamped oldtowns of the White Villages and Ronda!
The city of Ronda is located in the mountainous area, inland from Málaga and is situated on an altitude of 723 meters above sea level. The town is divided into two halves by the river Guadalevín, which “snakes” through the famous gorge below the high plateau. These two parts are connected by the imposing bridge Puente Nuevo.
Apart from the impressive landscape, Ronda, as one of the oldest towns of all over Spain, captivates through magnificent buildings from different cultures.
The town of Ronda is a popular destination for Andalusian travelers because of its mystic location and the influences of different cultures throughout its history.
Our day trip to Ronda usually starts at your pick-up point between 8:00 and 9:00 in the morning and ends at about 20:00 in the eveningat the same location.
Before we get to Ronda, we´ll visit the White Villages Zahara de la Sierra and Setenil de las Bodegas, which are located in the Sierra de Grazalema and Serranía de Ronda respectively. In both villages, we will have a short guided tour and a break to eat something. In Zahara there is a small typical breakfast that is included in the price. You´ll also have time to take some nice pictures of the environment.
Once in Ronda, we embark on a discovery tour of about 40 minutes from the modern part of the city to the historical Puente Nuevo bridge and the old town, where the Moorish palace is located. On this tour you will learn more about the history of the city and the most important buildings. In addition to the bridge it includes the bullring, the terraces along the steep slopes, the Moorish old town with its gardens and Arab baths and other impressive buildings.
Afterwards, lunch will be served in a restaurant with regional cuisine. After this approximately one-hour break, you have free time to explore the city on your own. Take a stroll through the old town, have a coffee in one of the cozy squares or take a short hike down to the gorge, from where you have an impressive panoramic view of the bridge. The leisure activities are up to you.
At about 18:00h we´ll go back to the starting point at your holiday location.
